New House, New Car, New life….

Things have been a busy happening over here. Sorry for the quiet. The last time I spoke with my brother-in-law, he commented “new house, new car seems like you’ve got an all new life…”, thus the title for this post. Since I do have a new life growing inside me that can now exit any day it seems even more appropriate.

We moved in 7 days ago. As of now, the old house is mostly clean, with a few kitchen, bathroom touchups, the garage still needs some emptying, and we have some wall repairs to make. The carpets are getting clean Monday, and any remaining hardware removed from the house. We have some outside toys left I think, but not much. The new house is about 75% done. We are a great deal unpacked, and mostly organized. We have some projects we are working on here, but again not much. I plan on being done by Friday for the most part. We are having a Garage Sale on Saturday to clear out, and whatever doesn’t sell is being donated! I have a bunch of DS games and DVD’s that we are unloading via Amazon’s trade in system. Pretty awesome. I will post interior pictures next week. For now there is an outside photo.

We replaced the mini-van with a Monster SUV. It handles and parks way better than I expected, and I really kind of love driving it. It looks fabulous, and the Dealership is fixing some interior silliness that someone installed after market. So pleased with the Pierre Auto family. Our new vehicle seats 8, and has all the perks I love. It’s an ‘06, and considerably less that our old Van, both monthly and total.

The babe is now at the 30 day count down to arrival. I still think I will go into labor the week before the c-section, but that remains to be seen. In the mean time I will continue to plug away at getting the house perfect, the plan in place, and everything organized for the recovery time. I am starting to get more excited about our impending arrival. Oh, and he who must not be named, will not be named before his arrival. So patiently await your announcement with all the pertinent details.

The weekend has been kind of fun in a crazy way. We played a version of Bunko at game night at the church on Friday, and then the kids had the primary Talent show on Saturday (which was a blast). We also made it up to see the new Vancouver Temple this Saturday morning with the kids. The open house was beautiful and fun to take the kids to. I am sure they all got something out of it. Aiden kept calling it a beautiful castle. So cute.
