31 weeks

OB appointment earlier today. All is well. Blood pressure good, weight great. 7 lbs gained over entire pregnancy. Had an ultrasound. Baby is big but on schedule. He is 4lbs 11 ozs approximately right now. 8 weeks and change left, and at the rate his going he might be my biggest baby yet.

I tweaked my back hauling my 3 1/2 year old son out of the parking lot and into the car while he was throwing a fit. Right now I am laying on the couch trying to get enough energy to clean the kitchen, finish the laundry, make lunch, and prep the last 6 freezer meals. Lucky for me, Tim is cooking dinner.

Speaking of freezer meals, the food saver is a god send. And I don’t say that lightly. It took me 2 years to get convinced I needed it, but I am. I saved a ton buying and repacking my meat, and prepping meals ahead. In my house right now, I have enough food to feed my family for a month. I spent 350. That wasn’t even heavy coupon shopping like I normally do, it was just shopping for recipes between albertsons and Costco. Sure I caught a few screaming deals, but no where near my normal savings percentage. Now I am making/prepping and freezing 18 of them for the hard first month of new baby, and the other 13 meals are for this week and next.

I am in an organizing nesting mood, so I have been cleaning drawers and cupboards (in every sense of the word) in the master bed and bathroom. Getting rid of stuff too old, re-organizing, and scrubbing them out. I figure since I will be spending a lot of time in those two rooms, it only makes sense.

The Nursery is coming along nicely. The quilt is on its way, the chair is on order (after they broke the first one), and the pieces are coming together. I can’t wait to share the finished project. Charlotte is a huge fan. She loves the owls. I can’t wait to see how the art Bethany is working on comes out. I designed an announcement for the baby, to send off to Costco once he arrives.

We have a busy weekend coming up, so don’t expect much out of the blog till next week.
