Knitting with needles afire right now. Serious progress being made. And the Line Up is daunting.
In Progress
The Halloween Goodie Bags. (first pictured is the samples from Anny Purls that the pattern is based on, and then my shells) I am making 6 in total, they will be adorable and gorgeous. I have 4 shells made of the six. I put them on pause, because I realized I have other deadlines looming much closer than all hallows eve. (I have adorable costumes for them all already thanks to garage sales and church clothing swap).
My Most important Deadline Knitting is the Sweater for my Baby Girl’s First Birthday on October 5th. I hadn’t started it till yesterday. Now I have cast on and am at about 20%. Baby stuff knits up quick! I am just adoring this Debbie Bliss pattern and I love the embroidery work, and am actually looking forward to it. I am picturing it with adorable leggings, or with her birthday tutu skirt and some tights.
Next after my Lolo’s Kaftan sweater, is the baby blanket for Laura’s newest. Due October 11th ish. I am at the 30% mark on this one. These are all yarns we either dyed together or were inspired by her home/clothes. It is crochet, so It is not too bad in the variation of projects department.
After that, I have 2 Jared Flood patterns, the Hemlock ring, and a Girasole Blanket. I am part the way into the hemlock, and have not cast on the newest Girasole yet. I did finish a Girasole shawl not that long ago and adored the pattern. (It is pictured above next to the hemlock, and I plan on doing the girasole in the same color.)
Then there are many Christmas Presents to work on after that, of which I totally cannot mention, but also not yet on needles.
Lastly, on my List is another baby sweater, this time for Nanette’s youngest. Identical in style to the one I knit my nephew Owen for his first birthday (pictured above), but this one in blues for Jackson. That one is not needed till January 14th.
