So I have been notoriously bad at keeping plants alive for years, inside or out. Even no maintenance plants die around me. I have a truly black thumb. But I have been determined since returning to the beautiful evergreen state, to actually keep some plants alive at least inside. I got a plant for a house opening gift, and have kept it on the window sill above the sink. Remembering to water it was easy. I have since purchased a hydrangea plant, and a bunch of small blooming plants and on the window sill, the other plant moved to the mantle. The girls plan on planting the blooming plants in the little garden along the fence later this week. They are beautiful bright spots in the house during the grey spring.
