My Kids are growing up way too fast. Katie just had a 5 year old check up and shots for starting school. She has to be registered for kindergarten this next week. She measured 46 inches tall, and weighed 42 lbs. She got her shots, tho she tried everything in the book to get out of them.We measured Aiden the other day. He was 36 inches tall, and weighed 39 lbs. He is talking more everyday. His vocabulary is growing by leaps and bounds.
Charlotte is due for her next appointment, as is Bekah in the first week of April. Charlotte has begun eating solids. I wasn’t going to give her any until she was 6 months, but she has been grabbing at my food and cups for weeks. I finally gave in, and fed her rice cereal. She took to it right away. She loves apples and bananas. She has been rolling around, and trying to scoot. She has even been working at sitting up. She sits in a convertible car seat now. I got so tired of carrying the heavy infant seat, and the difficulty in adjusting it to fit her at any stage. She really loves her car seat better now. She falls asleep in it all the time. It can be a pain taking her in places without the infant carrier, but most the time the stroller, or a wrap, or my arms is what she is in. Lucky for me most stores have infant seats on the carts.
Around our house it has been a busy couple of weeks. Just this past week I baked 6 loaves of bread (3 banana 3 olive oil artisan), re-organized the closets, and of course all the standard upkeep chores. I am looking forward to the weekend. I am going to do my best to clean out the garage and make a garbage and donation run. In getting caught up I even found my necklace I had lost. I love that kind of reinforcement! 4 of the loaves of bread was for a fun event we had at the ward the other day, called a service auction. I had such a blast.
