Its Katie Day!!

Here in the Gilchrist world today is known as Katie day. Katie rarely gets to dictate anything. Being the middle child she gets into sticky situations. Today she got to do whatever she wanted, eat whatever she wanted, and be the boss. It was amazing how well she handled the power. She turned 4, and proudly shows her four fingers up and says she is “this many”. I remember when she was my cuddly baby girl. She was never an “easy baby”. She was always deeply attached to Tim and I. To this day she still sneaks into my bed at night, and cuddles us. I can’t help but think of my favorite Katie moments frozen in time. I will share some of my favorite pictures with you.

She is a budding artist (as the walls of our apartment can testify), and since she is lucky enough to have parents that own a toy store, we got her everything a little artist could need. She spent most of her day painting. She requested her daddy take her to a play place for lunch, so we did. She wanted mac and cheese for dinner. So we did. She wanted a rainbow ice cream cake with a unicorn, and she got it. She wanted to stay up late with mommy and daddy and watch american Idol, so she is still sitting here with us. She has been incredibly sweet, and I have really enjoyed Katie day. I leave you with a glimpse of her at 6:30 this morning with her present, and with her cake after dinner.
