Ok, so I gave in, and faced my dread of … Family Reunions! I went to the Downing family reunion, and was much much more fun than I expected. And believe it or not, the highlight of the weekend was attending the local ward there and having Sunday fun there. There was a lovely heat wave leading up to the trip (yes that’s sarcasm) so we made sure to stop at Lincoln city for a beach day. The kids loved it.
The drive home - Not so much. I met a ton of family (but not too much) and had great chats. I even managed to knit! I also brought home some lovely balls of yarn, from a darling shop near the hotel in Kaizer.
