It was hot hot hot today. I decided to join the playgroup today at Juanita Beach Park in Juanita. To do so, I needed to run a few errands. I needed a sun tent for Little A. I hit the store, and on my way back I hit a pot hole, and blew out the side wall of my rear passenger tire. Ironically I eneded up in the same spot as the last time I got a flat. I managed to get the spare out of holder under the car, and the jack out of its hiding spot before my brother-in-law Eric came to my rescue and helped me change my tire. I then picked up lunch and finally hit the beach. Katie had a great time as did I with the playgroup. We stayed from 11:30 to 2.
During this Aiden had his first swing. He giggled the whole time. We went back to the beach after Tim got home from work and had dinner at the same beach. They played for another hour and a half. The girls were thoroughly worn out.
I have started the 2nd pair of mitts I am making for Mitts for Mary project. They are the smocked gauntlets pattern. I am using a gorgeous teal, peacock, green and purple Koigu I bought at Weaving Works on Tuesday. It is striping beautifully twisting up the gauntlets.
