Spring Break

I have been a great mom this week, albeit close to losing my sanity a few  times.

Monday: Katie went to the little Gym for he class, where I also signed her up for summer classes. I enrolled bekah in cheer camp there as well. Then I took them to lunch.

Tuesday: We had a picnic dinner in the park with daddy. We love logboom park!

Thursday: I took the kids Downtown to the Childrens museum for 2 hours. Then we met daddy at work for lunch at the Starbucks mezza cafeteria.

Friday: The kids got their computer and it was set up and games installed by lunch time. At bed time, we had the kids place their sleepbags on the floor and cuddle up to eachother to eat popcorn and watch The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.

Saturday: We helped out with a service project at a friends house, then took them to grandma’s while we took a break and went to the Mariners Game with Little A (his first, and we won). Right at bed time we took them on an “Adventure” down to see the animals at the Log Boom Park Dock.

I have been working hard helping to redesign my blog, and to design Tim’s blog. (I will link to it as soon as he finishes making it live). The chores have been a bit more than usual thanks to everyone being home. So the knitting has suffered a bit.

I am happy happy to say that my attempts to make friends beyond those related to me seems to be beginning to pay off. Of course I have had aquaintances, but no one very close. And it seems everytime I do start to get to know someone they move! Well I was told just yesterday that I made “the” list. Yes thats right, I have arrived. One of my friends has placed me on her good friends list. This may seem silly, but post College I have had a hard time finding friends with whom I have the most important things in common with (kids, married, values, click factor). So it seems I still have “it”.

You’ve made the “it” list…I think you were always there! ;)

Spring break was hard for me, too. I hate the fact that I couldn’t wait for them to go back to school. I don’t want to be one of “those” moms, but this time, I was.

Haha. You made the list. I’m happy you’re there. You’re fun.
